A new video has emerged showing indie icons Arctic Monkeys covering electro minx Lady Gaga who recently scored a massive UK number one.
Arctic Monkeys are on the comeback trail. Three years after the release of their last album ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’ the group are close to completing their new record.
Arctic Monkeys disappeared into the Californian desert to work on the new album with Queens Of The Stone Age mainman Josh Homme. Little has been heard of the new material, though the band did play unreleased tracks on a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The new video shows the group covering ‘Poker Face’ by Lady Gaga. The clip shows Alex Turner and drummer Matt Helders performing the track while the rest of the band take a break.
The film finishes by the band inviting fans to a public demonstration outside the headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland. The Royal Bank was a keen investor in the American sub-prime markets, and has lost countless millions in the chaos caused by the credit crunch.
Arctic Monkeys are due to release their new album in the summer.
