Arctic Monkeys Cancel Dublin Show

Due to acute laryngitis...

Arctic Monkeys have been forced to cancel their Dublin show tomorrow (June 20th).

The band have completed a series of mammoth UK shows, including a run of stadiums. Arctic Monkeys were received rapturously in Sheffield, before finishing a run of completely sold out nights at London’s Emirates Stadium.

Joined by Miles Kane to sing ‘505’ on the final night, Arctic Monkeys have been on terrific form, and are scheduled to headline Glastonbury festival on Friday (June 23rd).

Sadly, a spanner seems to have been thrown into the works. In a new statement, Arctic Monkeys have revealed that Alex Turner is suffering from acute laryngitis, leading to their show in Dublin tomorrow (June 20th) being cancelled.

Apologising to fans, Arctic Monkeys recognise the “huge disappointment” ticket holders will feel, with full refunds being issued.

Clash attended the opening night of Arctic Monkeys’ Emirates run, with reviewer Narzra Ahmed commenting:

“Here’s a band who have years of experience and have finessed what they do so much so that, at this point, they’re basically just showing off and it’s almost annoying how good they are.”
