Arcade Fire have recorded a new song for the soundtrack of upcoming fantasy film ‘The Hunger Games’.
Having spent 2011 completing a world tour, fans could forgive Arcade Fire for taking time off. But no, the Canadian band are throwing themselves back into a busy schedule which includes a return visit to the studio.
The group have agreed to contribute to the soundtrack of forthcoming fantasy flick ‘The Hunger Games’. Set to be released in the UK on March 23rd, the film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks.
Arcade Fire pairing Win Butler and Regine Chassagne have recorded the new track ‘Abraham’s Daughter’ for the soundtrack. ‘The Hunger Games’ looks to have a very indie-friendly soundtrack, with music from The Decemberists and The Low Anthem also due to appear in the forthcoming film.
