Surely Canadians should stick together?
After all, it's a relatively small country (population speaking) and is often suffocated by its noisier Southern neighbour.
Yet at Coachella recently, deadmau5 took umbrage to Arcade Fire's onstage comments. Win Butler gave a shout out to "all the bands still playing actual instruments" during their set, prompting a furious response from the masked producer.
Tweeting to fans, deadmau5 said: "if i wanna watch real artists perform, id pick the opera before wasting a fucking minute of my life with arcade fire."
Amongst his more measured responses:
arcade fire needs to settle down. some dudes devote their lives to instruments, others to electronic composition by cpu, dafuqs yer problem?

Onstage at St. Louis recently, Arcade Fire performed 'Roll Over Beethoven' – written by St. Louis native Chuck Berry. The band also took a sideswipe at deadmau5, performing with the DJ's trademark mask in their visuals.
