Irish born pop voice April has shared her ‘Starlane’ mixtape in full.
It’s been a huge 12 months for the artist; fresh from inking a major label deal with Atlantic Records she made the big move to London, and threw herself into the metropolis.
New mixtape ‘Starlane’ documents this period of personal upheaval, with its tales of mistakes, regrets, and the odd inspired choice, too. As she puts it: “I was going out a lot and partying – kind of escaping reality, doing dumb stuff and looking for that thrill of life.”
Out now, the seven-tracker follows recent singles ‘Impossible’ featuring Norwegian alt-pop all-rounder Jimi Somewhere, and ‘54321’.
‘Starlane’ is another aspect of her journey, a project marked by evolution in both a personal and aesthetic sense; punchy and colourful, in finds April speaking her truth in diaristic but nonetheless riveting form.
Tune in now.
