Kildare newcomer April has shared her stunning new single 'The Impossible Task Of Feeling Complete'.
The Irish artist sweeps into view with something rather grand, a bold, gently overpowering statement of intent.
Out now, 'The Impossible Task Of Feeling Complete' has a real allure to it, with April finessing her potent array of influences.
Addicted to hip-hop as a kid, her broadening fondness for jazz is intertwined with an innate originality in her pop conception.
'The Impossible Task Of Feeling Complete' wraps all these elements together and more, with April picking apart some of the negative societal influences in the way we construct identity.
April comments…
"'The Impossible Task Of Feeling Complete' is a song about not feeling like yourself, it’s a universally understood feeling I think everyone experiences at some point in their lives."
"It’s about how we can fall so easily and compare ourselves to things we see on television screens and things we hear and read and trick our minds into believing are true and normal to feel. Although lyrically there isn’t much positivity, the song was made to give a feeling of hope and to realise everyone feels this way sometimes."
Tune in now.
