Aphex Twin Is Re-Issuing ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’

For the seminal album's 30th birthday...

Aphex Twin is set to re-issue his seminal album ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’.

The producer’s 1994 album helped develop a language for modern electronic ambient music, containing some of his most overtly beautiful work in the process. A thrilling listen that has spawned a legion of imitators, it remains a much-cherished part of the Aphex oeuvre.

Just in time for its 30th birthday, ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’ is being re-issued. The previously vinyl only ’19’ is being added to the formal tracklisting, alongside two additional tracks – officially released and on physical formats for the first time.

Available to pre-order now, the physical editions land on October 4th, and they’re a sight to behold.

Going in deep, you can grab a special ultra-limited 4LP box set with a hinged oak case and “polylined inner sleeves, printed 3mm spine outer sleeves, fold out poster, sticker sheet and booklet containing development sketches for the original artwork concept by designer Paul Nicholson.”

Alongside this, there’s the standard 4LP standard edition, 3CD set, double-cassette, and digital only formats.

Check out ’19’ below.
