Becoming one of the world's most expensive records...
Aphex Twin

If rumours are to be believed, then Richard D. James has a library of unreleased music.

Aphex Twin seems to record continuously, boasting of the material lingering on his hard drive. Earlier this year, an extremely rare test pressing of 'Caustic Window' emerged, to the widespread interest of fans.

Never given a full release, a Kickstarter campaign was launched by fans to purchase the test pressing for $67,424. Copied and placed online for all to hear, fans then sold the record at auction via eBay.

The winning bid was some $46,300 with more than 100 people placing bids. The final bid means that 'Caustic Window' has immediately become one of the world's most expensive records, although it sits somewhere behind the £200,000 which a test pressing of The Quarrymen's demo is thought to be worth.
