Irish born artist Aoife Nessa Frances announces new album ‘Protector’ with an enchanting single ‘Way To Say Goodbye’. The single shows newfound assertiveness of style from the folk-pop songwriter, with deliciously skewed guitar drifting underneath Aoife’s drifting Mazzy-Star-reminiscent vocals.
‘Way To Say Goodbye’ reflects “the feelings when a relationship ends,” Aoife shares. “The difficulty of letting something go. How fear of loneliness can make you hold on to something for too long after it no longer serves you. The process of writing this song was incredibly cathartic and healing.”
Set to be released on October 28th via Partisan Records, the album was conceived when Aoife moved from bustling Dublin to the rural Country Clare on the west coast of Ireland, where the stillness allowed her to dive deep into herself to make crucial discoveries.
“Writing and recording this album was a spiritual experience. I experienced love for my family on a level I didn’t know existed, while slowly putting myself back together and watching the “protector” in me grow much bigger.”
Following acclaimed debut album ‘Land Of No Junction’, Aoife Nessa Frances’ sophomore LP comes with a promise of an extremely personal and tantalisingly mystical journey of self-discovery.
