Antony & The Johnsons singer Antony Hegarty is set for a new collaboration with a special Christmas track due for release soon, it has been announced.
It has been a busy year for Hegarty. He added several lead vocals to the debut album by disco-house group Hercules and Love Affair, became a fashion designer and released his first new material in three years with the Johnsons.
Antony & The Johnsons are set to release their new album ‘The Crying Light’ in 2009, but before then Antony Hegarty has a surprise for fans. The singer has teamed up with former Mum vocalist Kria Brekkan on the song ‘Be Good To Earth This Christmas’.
Strictly limited to 1,000 seven inch vinyl copies the song will be available from December 8th and comes complete with another seasonal track ‘Wolfie’s Christmas’ on the flipside.
The single will be the first to be released through the new singles division of the Animal Collective affiliated label Paw Tracks.
