Anti Pop Consortium return with a new single, available now as a free download, ‘Apparently’, taken from the forthcoming new album ‘Fluorescent Black’. Their first long player since 2002’s ‘Arrhythmia’, and the first since their reformation in 2007, ‘Fluorescent Black’ is released on Big Dada records on September 29th making it their first release in seven years.

The quartet, lyricists Beans, High Priest and M. Sayyid and producer Earl Blaize are renowned for their inventive, boundary pushing take on hip hop that’s seen them tour with Radiohead and Dj Shadow and open for Public Enemy‘s ‘It Takes A Nation Of Millions’ Don’t Look Back shows.

On the live front, the group is set to appear at the Flaming Lips curated ATP New York festival, running from September 11th – 13th, alongside Animal Collective, Jesus Lizard, El-P and more.

Talking about their reunion and new material, the band released a statement, “We needed time to grow and mature as artists individually. Now that we have assessed our strengths and weaknesses, we are ready to re-form stronger and better than we have ever been before. The chemistry that we have together makes for exceptional music. It’s time to return.”
