ANNAVR's new EP was recorded in various locations between London and Berlin.
Forever travelling, forever searching, the electronic musician wants to push past barriers both aesthetic and personal with her music.
New EP ‘I: Hallucination’ is incoming, part of a proposed EP trilogy which will span the next 12 months.
Out shortly, we're able to share it up-front, a glorious, fragmentary excursion that draws new pathways between pop and the electronic underground.
She explains:
"The title, 'I: Hallucination', is an acknowledgement for a state she describes as‚ somewhere between the biggest possible relieve and the most terrible unfulfilled longing. I don’t mean it in any way associated to drugs. It’s more like I am so open to things, my senses are so overwhelmingly awake, that most of the time I can feel like a battery that is overcharged."
"I can get so hyped up and need a creative outlet to express myself, without music I wouldn’t know how to deal with it. Creation is the only healthy thing that helps."
