Anjimile Launches New Album ‘The King’

The bold title track is online now...

Anjimile will release new album ‘The King’ on September 8th.

A remarkable, boundary-breaking talent, Anjimile achieved an unlikely but thoroughly deserved breakout with his 2020 album ‘Giver Taker’. A colourful, intense experience, its myriad facets were held together by those titanic vocals, and his singularity of purpose.

A covers project followed a year later, with Anjimile now detailing his next studio statement. New album ‘The King’ is out on September 8th, with Daniela Yohannes constructing the extraordinary painted artwork.

The artist also steers the video for Anjimile’s new single – the title song of ‘The King’ is out now, a bold, spiralling slice of soulful noise, offering pop at its most abstract yet still tethered to sumptuous melody.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” he hisses, before vowing: “What don’t kill you almost killed you / What don’t fill you / pains you / drains you.”

An extraordinary return, you can check it out below.
