Anish Kumar’s Mixtape Is A Joy

The much-tipped producer shares the project in full...

Anish Kumar has shared his new mixtape – tune in now.

The producer’s addictive qualities have made his music difficult to shrug off, blending club tropes with some adventurous musicality. Singles such as ‘Little Miss Dynamite’ and the breakbeat-infused ‘Praise’ paved the way, while ‘Care About Me’ felt like a breakout moment.

Working independently, Anish Kumar seems to operate with incredible freedom – shifting from lush house chords to saxophone melodies, from jacking beats to moments of wistful melancholy.

Out now, ‘A Mixtape By Anish Kumar’ illustrates his breadth, while also leaving space to grow. An emphatic statement of his capabilities, it contains the moody magnificence of his jazz-tinged club outing ‘Marabelle’.

He says…

“Marabelle is a moody cut from the back half of the mixtape which blends jazz noir saxophone melodies over dusty synths resulting in a rainy switch of pace from the sugar sweet tone of the first half of the mixtape”

Tune in now.
