Animal Collective have outlined plans for new remix EP 'Monkey Been To Burn Town'.
Looking far beyond traditional rock tropes for inspiration, Animal Collective have always been drawn to electronic music. Incorporating samples, synths in their sound, the band's releases are peppered with guest remixes.
Now the band have commissioned a special EP devoted to re-edits, refixes and other re-workings. 'Monkey Been To Burn Town' will be released on May 27th, and features two album tracks ('Monkey Riches' and 'New Town Burnout' – geddit?) getting twisted and turned inside out.
