Anastave has shared her brand new single ‘Every Night’.
The track carries a haunting, ethereal energy, a spotlight moment taken from the artist’s upcoming sophomore album ‘I Don’t Want You In The Light’, set to release August 31st. Layering wispy, glitching vocals over a dark, future-pop production, Anastave pieces together an elevating listen that feels deeply introspective.
The track ushers listeners into the Berlin-based composer, singer, and producer’s next chapter. Across ‘I Don’t Want You In The Light’, the artist takes a more intimate approach to her material, leaning into the influential styles of Massive Attack, Björk, and Nicolas Jaar. Speaking on her forthcoming body of work, Anastave details further:
“I created this album over a few years so it really means a lot to me as it’s seen me through different periods of my life. I wrote several of the songs during lockdown so there’s a claustrophobic feeling to them — a feeling of wanting to escape my thoughts but also being painfully connected with them at the same time.”
