Grammy award winning singer Amy Winehouse has been admitted to hospital today, amid reports that she has suffered a bad reaction to her medication.
The singer was rushed from her North London home to University College Hospital after falling unwell yesterday (July 28th). Amy Winehouse has had a dramatic summer, punching a fan at Glastonbury before playing a triumphant show at Scotland’s T In The Park.
During all this Winehouse has continually struggled with her health. She apparently collapsed in her London home before, and her subsequent stay in hospital was dogged by rumours before her father Mitch Winehouse revealed that she was suffering from the early stages of emphysema from smoking cigerettes and crack cocaine.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Amy Winehouse’s spokesman Chris Goodman said that “doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow”.
Get well soon Amy!
