Amoeba Music will not re-open their iconic Sunset Boulevard site after the coronavirus crisis recedes.
With all non-essential outlets forced to close, music shops on both sides of the Atlantic have been put under enormous pressure.
Amoeba Music are among this, shutting the doors on their landmark Los Angeles store.
Sited on Sunset Boulevard, it now transpires that this shop will not re-open – it will instead move to another location.
The Sunset Boulevard location has been under pressure from developers for some time, with Amoeba now focussing on Hollywood Boulevard, The Wrap reports.
A statement on the Amoeba website aims to clarify this, re-assuring fans that the brand will remain embedded in LA music.
