Mali duo Amadou & Mariam, recent Africa Now and Africa Express stars, will return to the UK for a show at London’s KOKO on the 25th February 2009 .
The twosome are set to release their new album ‘Welcome To Mali’ on the 17th November, as well as a forthcoming appearance on the BBC2 Culture Show on the 20th (Nov). The album will feature Damon Albarn as guest producer on the opening track and first single ‘Sabali’, as well as many other world musicians. Albarn’s highly successful Africa Express recently also saw the ex-Blur man curate an eight hour set, which saw a host of musicians jamming together for the first time.
