Amaarae Drops ‘roses are red, tears are blue – A Fountain Baby Extended Play’

The Afro-pop renegade extends the 'Fountain Baby' era...

Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Amaarae has shared her new project ‘roses are red, tears are blue – A Fountain Baby Extended Play’, via Interscope.

An explosive vessel of self-empowerment, sexuality and expression, Amaarae elevates her sophomore album ‘Fountain Baby‘ with seven new tracks, roping in 6LACK on a remix of ‘Disguise’ and OVO artist Naomi Sharon on original number ‘wanted’. Pieced together with close collaborators Kyu Steed, Noah Glassman and KZ Didit, Amaarae transforms the landscape of pop with free-flowing experimentation, bringing Accra’s sprawling alternative music scene to the masses.

Fresh off her runway debut at Vogue World in Paris, it’s been a whirlwind year for Amaarae. Garnering critical acclaim with ‘Fountain Baby’ – No. 4 on CLASH’s Album of The Year Listicle – embarking on a sold-out headline world tour, and securing over one billion plays across streaming platforms, Amaarae is set to join Childish Gambino and Sabrina Carpenter for a number of arena shows this year.
