Alvvays Announce New Album ‘Blue Rev’

It's out on October 7th...

Alvvays will release new album ‘Blue Rev’ on October 7th.

The much-loved Canadian indie pop outfit have two stellar albums to their name, before seeming to go quiet.

Earlier this, however, they began to stir, with socials lighting up once more, and a flurry of gigs being announced for the months ago.

There’s a lot more to come, too, with Alvvays set to release their third album this Autumn. Out on October 7th, ‘Blue Rev’ features 14 tracks – including the intriguingly named ‘Bored In Bristol’.

New single ‘Pharmacist’ feels like the perfect return, indulging their shoegaze influences on a raucous guitar melter. Gloriously melodic, there’s also a slight 80s tinge to the drum sounds, with Molly Rankin’s voice ringing out loud and clear.

Watch out for the breakdown / false ending at the 90 second mark – a pristine slice of noise pop with a guitar solo that collapses in on itself, ‘Pharmacist’ is a super return.
