AlunaGeorge will release their new EP ‘You Know You Like It’ through TriAngle on June 11th.
It’s a pretty straight forward name, really. Two London based artists, when Aluna Francis and George Reid decided to work on new material they took the logical step and named the project AlunaGeorge.
Yet that’s about the only simple thing about AlunaGeorge. The pair’s music encompasses elements of British bass culture, yet with a sheen, a pop touch half-inched from late 90s American R&B.
Never settling in one place, AlunaGeorge are making R&B Futurism seem fun. Signing with cult tastemakers TriAngle – also home to oOoOO, Evian Christ and more – the duo will release their new EP ‘You Know You Like It’ on June 11th.
Available digitally right now, TriAngle will give the three track affair a vinyl pressing. As a quick preview, AlunaGeorge are streaming new cut ‘Just A Touch’.
