Aliens Return

Scots Oddballs New Album

Scottish pop outsiders The Aliens are set to make a welcome return in September with a brand new album titled “Luna” set to be released on September 29th.

The band have set up their own record label Pet Rock Records to release their material own. Picking up from where debut album “Astronomy For Dogs” left off, “Luna” is an other wordly mix of psychedelia, pop and electronics. Recorded during a retreat back to their native Fife, the album is great example of the songwriting talent in the band.

Uniting the Lone Pigeon himself Gordon Anderson with former Beta Band comrades John MacLean and Robin Jones, The Aliens are one of the most creative groups in the UK. 2007 ended with a trip to the Congo, leaving the band feeling musically refreshed – a good sign for fans!

The album will be preceded by new single “Magic Man”. A mini classic, it showcases the band’s virtuosity with wonderful psych pop harmonies.

“Magic Man” will be released on 7 inch and download on September 15th. Parent album “Luna” will follow on September 29th.
