"It’s quite an angry track, both musically and lyrically..."

Teenage DIY pop prodigy Alfie Templeman has shared his potent new single 'Stop Thinking (About Me)'.

Freshly signed to Chess Club, the 16 year old tearaway is playing a flurry of huge shows this week, lining up alongside his label mates Sundara Karma.

Coinciding with this, Alfie has decided to share his biting, provocative new single 'Stop Thinking (About Me)'.

Tapping into some angry feelings in his life, the track feels like a barbed, twist take on UK R&B - think a more punk-inclined Rex Orange County and you'd be in the right ballpark.

It's a concise return, with Alfie Templeman showing incredible control through his creative use of restraint.

He comments: “It’s quite an angry track, both musically and lyrically. I was really interested in something a bit more fierce, more upbeat and R&B oriented."

"A lot of my previous song lyrics are about being disillusioned and anxious about things such as relationships going wrong so I decided to pair this very angsty song with disheartened lyrics, as if I were fed up of being messed around with by someone I thought I was in love with.”

Tune in now.
