We Cut Corners are one of Ireland's real treasures.
The highly creative duo – John Duignan and Conall O’Breachain – have notched up two sterling albums, with both releases going on to claim nominations at the Choice Music Prize.
New album 'The Cadences Of Others', then, comes with a few strings attached. Out on November 4th, it finds We Cut Corners in total control, self-producing the record at their Dublin studio.
It's a remarkably fresh-sounding document. Able to segue between brittle garage rock and placid folk, the record features additional instrumentation from Villagers’ Conor O’Brien on bass, members of Booka Brass and the Fratres String Quintet.
Highly regarded far beyond the shores of their native Ireland, Clash is delighted to be able to share We Cut Corners' new record.
Tune in now.
