Alan McGee has revealed to Clash that a return to music management could be on the cards.
Alan McGee is one of the most colourful figures produced by the British independent scene. Memorably chairing Creation Records, his role as taste maker and label boss was complimented by a side career in management.
Recently completing work on his autobiography, Alan McGee has also launched new imprint 359 Music. Clash sat down with the industry legend to discuss these developments and more, and during the conversation McGee admitted that a return to management was also on the cards.
"I’m probably going to start Creation Management next year" he admitted. "Probably. I own Creation Management, I own Creation Songs… I sold Creation Records. Creation Management is there if I want to use it, I’ve just never used it for about ten years. It’s separate".
"It’s me and a guy called Simon Fletcher will do it, if I do it. So I possibly will start Creation Management next year. It’s not for certain, he’s coming down this weekend but I think there’s so many opportunities because music is really good at the moment".
Exploring his life, career and future plans, check back tomorrow (December 18th) for a full length interview with Alan McGee.
