AJA Shows Her Emotional Side On New Single ‘Fireflies’

It's a tender ballad from the Canadian pop riser...

Toronto pop riser AJA has shared her new single ‘Fireflies’ in full.

Still only 18-years-old, the freshness of AJA’s approach comes from seeing the world for the first time – each song is driven by pure emotion, an artist working on instinct.

Her single ‘Love At First Song’ landed earlier this year, a terrific bop that exuded promise. Littered with colour and verve, her thirst for melody took AJA into something quite distinct.

Real name Aja Neinstein, the Toronto artist worked alongside Jimmy McGorman and Rob Vallier for her new single, with ‘Fireflies’ spinning AJA in a tender direction.

Dropping the tempo, it’s a gorgeous ballad, one that finds AJA operating with the utmost openness. She comments:

I wrote ‘Fireflies’ when I was in a pretty dark place and it was really about looking forward to what is next for me and getting away from negativity. Not letting anything stand in the way of me chasing my dreams.

Tune in now.
