aespa’s Giselle Apologises For Lip-Syncing Racial Slur In Behind The Scenes Video

She says: "I will continue to learn and be more conscious of my actions..."

aespa member Giselle has apologised after a behind the scenes clip showed her lip-syncing a racial slur.

The clip appeared on YouTube over the weekend, and featured the K-Pop group relaxing backstage, and listening to music.

Giselle mouthed along to SZA's 'Love Galore' and lip-synced to a racial slur; the clip was then pulled, but has been re-uploaded to other sites.

In a statement, Giselle expressed profound regret, and clarified that she had “no intentions of doing it with any purpose and got carried away when one of my favorite artist’s song was played”.

The note opens: “I would like to apologize for mouthing the wrongful word from the lyrics of the song that was playing on-site.”

She writes: “I will continue to learn and be more conscious of my actions.”

aespa's 'Savage' EP was released earlier this month.
