Adrian Sherwood is set to produce the new Lee 'Scratch' Perry album, with 'Rainford' landing on May 10th.
The dub giants are close comrades, with Sherwood stepping in to man the controls for the latest Scratch adventure.
New album 'Rainford' hits on May 10th, with the English producer billing the recordings as "intimate" but also "very fresh".
He comments: “It's the most intimate album Lee has ever made, but at the same time the musical ideas are very fresh. I'm extremely proud of what we've come up as a piece of work."
New track 'African Starship' matches stark spoken word to some bold special effects, a neat conjoining of two echo chamber mavericks.
Curiously, 'African Starship' will also be released on the latest On-U Sound compilation ‘Pay It All Back Volume 7’, which is released on March 29th.
