The band are fast becoming a name to drop in their native Ireland, with a breathless series of live shows taking them across the country. Gigging until they drop, Adore have supported 86TVs, The Bug Club, Sprints and Cardinals – amongst others – before pausing to enter the studio.
Working with Daniel Fox – Gilla Band – at the controls, new single ‘Supermum!’ is a barbed piece of garage punk that plays by its own rules.
Reminiscent of early Breeders in places, there’s a sense of barely controlled chaos – to empty multiple cliches, a barrel of barbed wire falling down a flight stairs…
It’s all delivered with fun and chutzpah of course, and follows recent single ‘Postcards’.
