Adele has given a strong hint that she is working on the theme song for the next James Bond movie.
It’s perhaps the worst kept secret in the music industry. Work has already begun on the latest James Bond movie and speculation is rife over who will be recruited to perform the theme song.
If rumours are to be believed, then Adele is the first in line for the role. The soulful Brit is now a global icon, and her powerful vocal style makes her the natural fit for the upcoming James Bond movie.
Appearing on the first episode of Jonathan Ross’ new chat show, Adele was asked outright what she is planning to record next. “Well, this is actually a theme. Wow, that’s really giving something away.”
Jonathan Ross began humming the James Bond theme, to which an obviously embarrassed Adele responded: “It’s a concept. One song.”
Back in the UK to perform a number of tour dates, Adele’s latest live venture got off to a flat start. Suffering from a cold and a chest infection the singer has been forced to cancel the opening two dates of the tour.
Cancelling shows at Plymouth and Bournemouth, an official statement from the singer apologised for the move.
“It is with regret that due to a severe cold and chest infection, Adele has had to postpone the first two shows of her UK tour. The shows will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity and all original tickets will remain valid. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The remaining dates are set to continue as planned.
