Babyshambles drummer turned fine purveyor of twisted folk Adam Ficek has announced some British tour dates and revealed some information on the new solo album from Pete Doherty.
Adam Ficek’s debut solo album ‘Roses Kings Castles’ was an unexpected triumph. Gently melodic, its hushed folk influenced tones were the perfect tonic for those Autumnal blues. Getting ready for his first ever solo tour, Ficek openly admits he is apprehensive. “It’s
important for me to get my music out I kept putting it off, I’m nervous. But if you dont try you’ll never know.”
A host of impromptu gigs are planned across the nation, similar to the recent parties in London that Ficek and his Babyshambles bandmates played. Aside from his solo work, Ficek has been recording Babyshambles third album as well as working with Pete Doherty on his solo album.
“I think Peters solo efforts are going to surprise lots of people, there are places on the album that Babyshambles and Peter have never been”.
