Actress and Mount Kimbie‘s Kai Campos collaborate on new song ‘AZD SURF’.
The two parties are seminal names in the evolution of UK electronic music, and both are perpetually moving forwards. Actress scored unanimous rave reviews with 2020 album ‘Karma & Desire’, a superb record that utilised contributions from Sampha, Zsela, and Aura T-09.
Alongside this, Actress has worked on a Patta and Nike produced four-part film, while he’s also soundtracked an installation with Actual Objects called Grey Interiors.
For their part, Mount Kimbie are on the comeback trail, promising new projects, and new music.
‘AZD SURF’ combines these digital forces, re-contextualising acid house tropes within a radically distinct sonic landscape. A piece that is continually in flux, ‘AZD SURF’ presents warped electronics, the distorted colours merging into one remarkable whole.
