AC/DC Backtracks Details

New boxset announced

Australian hard rock giants AC/DC are set to look back over their career with the new boxset ‘Backtracks’.

AC/DC were formed by the Young brothers. Inspired by the success of their older siblings who all formed successful groups, Angus And Malcolm Young joined together to craft some hard rockin’.

When original roadie Bon Scott became their singer AC/DC suddenly took a leap forwards. Gaining success, the band travelled to the UK where they were greeted with open arms by music fans sick of prog’s excess.

Sadly Bon Scott died in 1980, but AC/DC continued recruiting Gateshead singer Brian Johnson as their new frontman. Still going strong the band recently released their spectacular new album ‘Black Ice’.

A new box set is set to look back over their phenomenal career. ‘Backtracks’ will be released in the UK on November 10th, and will contain huge hits alongside never heard before rarities.

A deluxe edition will go on sale through AC/DC’s official website, featuring three CDs of live and studio rarities, two DVDs, a vinyl album of studio collectibles, a 164-page coffee table book, facsimiles of authentic memorabilia, an AC/DC guitar plectrum, a replica Bon Scott tattoo and more.

In addition to that mouth watering menu the deluxe edition of ‘Backtracks’ will also come housed in a working guitar amplifier!

The standard edition of ‘Backtrack’ will feature two CDs of studio and live rarities and a ‘Family Jewels 3’ DVD, along with bonus video.

AC/DC will release ‘Backtracks’ on November 10th.
