Abby Sage Returns With ‘Backwards Directions’

The video aims for continual movement...

Abby Sage has shared her new song ‘Backwards Directions’.

The songwriter splits her time between London and LA, pursuing a pop journey that combines personal revelation with a sharply defined melodic instant. Full EP ‘Florist’ is incoming, and it’s about attempting to insert beauty into your, and your surroundings – something she achieves via music.

New single ‘Backwards Directions’ is online now, a sparkling, effervescent return that has a sting in its tale. The song is about attempting to learn from your mistakes, assessing her life from an uncritical viewpoint; wise beyond her years, Abby Sage also aims at a certain degree of directness with her vocal.

She comments…

“‘Backwards Directions’ is about constantly making the same mistakes, not moving forward as planned, and asking for forgiveness or at least a sense of understanding for wrongdoing and lack of growth…”

Aidan Dick directs the video, a shoot that uses a performance from Ryan Brennan to suggest perpetual movement.
