A$AP Rocky’s final set at SXSW seemingly ended in chaos last night after an altercation with the crowd.
There’s always one. Each year at SXSW, the general atmosphere of music, beer, Texan sunshine and more beer boils over. In 2012, it was seemingly the turn of A$AP Rocky to cause chaos in Austin.
Performing at the Vice Killed Austin party last night (March 18th) A$AP Rocky’s performance was halted after altercations with the crowd. Spinner was there, and report that the show began in rowdy fashion with plenty of slam-dancing and crowd-surfing.
The A$AP mob were out in force, and when someone stole a member’s bandanna A$AP Rocky stopped the show. Arguing with the crowd, elements of the audience then began pelting the stage with coins and bottles.
Members of the A$AP posse then leaped into the crowd, trading punches with members of the audience. According to Spinner, the show was then shut down with the venue being quickly evacuated as police came on the scene.
Intrigued by all this? Well the Clash team are currently flying back from Austin – watch out for a full SXSW rundown later this week.
