One of the acts who define Erased Tapes' fusion of avant classical meets electronics, A Winged Victory For The Sullen's debut album charmed ears on its 2011 release.
A probing, evocative document, the self-titled album is now set to be followed by new material. Recorded in studios across Brussels, Berlin and Reykjavik, the music also utilises the talents of collaborative sound engineer Francesco Donadello.
Titled 'Atomos', the album owes its gestation to a dance project. Wayne McGregor, resident choreographer at the Royal Ballet, utilised the duo's music in practise sessions before later inviting the group to compose a score.
Rapidly evolving beyond this, the ideas generated by this dance project have blossomed into a full length album.
