A Tribe Called Quest are set to call time on their re-union with a pair of New York shows.
With their jazz influences, dextrous flow and continual invention, A Tribe Called Quest were one of the best loved groups to emerge from the so-called Golden Age of Hip Hop. Departing in 1998, the band reformed in 2004 and since then have spent the best part of a decade on the road.
Bringing their material to a new generation, A Tribe Called Quest resisted the temptation to get back into the studio.
Confirming plans to wind down their re-union, the group recently played their final West Coast shows.
Now the hip hop legends will return to New York for their last ever shows. Signalling the move on Twitter, A Tribe Called Quest:
In August, ATCQ did our last show FOR Cali. It's only right we do our FINAL 2 joints where we started…NYC
