Swedish duo 7ebra have shared their debut single ‘If I Ask Her’.
Out now via PNKSLM Recordings – a terrific outlet for new music – the single represents a starting point for a duo who have already caused huge word of mouth buzz in Sweden thanks to a string of fantastic live performances.
7ebra blend a punk-like defiance of the rules with a minimalist palette, infused with a terrific but deeply left-field sense of pop. In reality sisters Inez and Ella from Malmö, the duo took their sound to the UK over the weekend, playing three shows in three days.
New single ‘If I Ask Her’ is a super starting point, a pointed, infectious, and sweetly melodic piece of music. Taken from their incoming Tore Johansson (The Cardigans, Franz Ferdinand) produced debut album, it comes equipped by a neat video directed by Inez and Ella themselves.
Working with videographer Jakob Gustafsson and editor Elliot Malmenborg, it’s a fun, direct, and resolutely DIY statement from 7ebra.
