Norwegian group 120 Days are set to release their new album ‘120 Days II’ on March 5th.
Yet another addition to Norway’s rich lineage of electronic groups, 120 Days stand out from the pack. The band’s debut album had a rich Krautrock feel, with its repetition adding a real driving, directness to the Oslo group’s songwriting.
Obviously, adjectives such as ‘icy’ and ‘glacial’ were flung around, but in reality 120 Days are far too complex to summarise into one soundbite. Completing work on their new album, the Norwegian group have confirmed their return.
‘120 Days II’ will be released on March 5th, with Splendour Recordings taking control of the new album. The Norwegian group promise something harder, grittier, with 120 Days perhaps benefiting from the extended touring which followed the success of their debut.
New single ‘Osaka’ is set to be released through Modular offshoot Club Mod, with diskjokke supplying a typically deft remix. Guess what? You can download said remix for free, courtesy of yonder SoundCloud player…
