070 Shake has shared her first solo release of the year, ‘Black Dress’.
The Dave Hamelin-produced number was teased at festivals and became a fan favourite, and now 070 Shake memorialises the feedback with an official release and a nocturnal video to boot.
With its spacey-synth template, ‘Black Dress’ is a narcotic declaration to a lost love. Shake’s voice, wreathed in effects, sings: “I intertwine with and create a colour scheme…Even when it’s dark out, I can see your bone structure. I can see the light in you…”
‘Black Dress’ follows 070 Shake’s collaboration with RAYE, ‘Escapism’, which hit number 1 on the UK singles chart, and is the first taste of a forthcoming album.
