Rhi Shares Delicate New ‘Nocturnes’ EP

Hushed creativity from the Canadian auteur…

Rhi returns with new EP ‘Nocturnes’.

Out now, the new solo project follows her acclaimed album ‘The Pale Queen’, and takes Rhi away from the joint venture Dead Silk (a collaborative project alongside Telemachus).

Online now, ‘Nocturnes’ finds the Canadian musician looping back on their classical background, setting her compositions in the wee small hours. A spartan return, the EP melds together her electronic leanings with flecks of modern classical, an approach that leans on the methodologies established by her debut LP ‘Reverie’.

The writing was prompted by the demise of a long-term relationship, and the play-off between freedom and absence. As she puts it…

“I was in a long-term relationship for the better part of a decade and these songs are the output of my experiences as a newly single woman”.

Tune in now.
