Infused with the same brawny percussiveness and tack sharp lyrics as is expected from the Kendal 4 piece, Wild Beasts have released a new video for forthcoming single, “We Still Got the Taste Dancing on Our Tongues”, out March 22nd.
Cautiously embarking with a countertenor call to adolescent arms, this, the third single from their ‘Two Dancers’ album, steals us through a rambunctious rabble rouser of alcopop fuelled alley fumbling. No doubt tempting to film as a narrative piece the directors (Institute for Eyes) have instead displayed restraint, offering up a band floating horizontally through an indistinct landscape flecked with snow. The clean elemental nature of which only enhances the real seething aftertaste sexuality of the proceedings.
Never mind tongues, Wild Beasts are a band that should be on everyone’s lips.
