Lifted from the LA band’s self-titled debut of last year, ‘Happiness Is Overrated’ is the new single from The Airborne Toxic Event.
The album received a re-release earlier this year, and has steadily attracted fans to its makers’ strings-laced indie-rock, among them U2’s Adam Clayton, who picked the band’s previous single ‘Sometime Around Midnight’ as a favourite while on a US radio show.
That said, not everyone’s a fan of the band – acclaimed US music site Pitchfork slammed the band’s album, awarding it 1.6/10. Worth a read, if only for balance.
