These are heady days for Michael Kiwanuka.
The songwriter released his new album 'Love And Hate' last week, an album that saw him delve deeper, go further, be more open than ever before.
To say it has resonated is a slight under-statement. Lauded by critics – check out our breathless 9/10 evocation HERE – it soared straight into the charts at number one.
As if that wasn't enough, Michael Kiwanuka worked with Nas to craft the soundtrack for Baz Lurhmann’s new Netflix drama series, The Get Down, while tickets for his massive Autumn tour are selling fast.
Amid the whirlwind, the singer has sneaked out a new video. Earlier this year, Michael Kiwanuka teamed up with his friends at Blue Flowers to host special sets at London's historic Cadogan Hall venue.
The crowd were treated to some truly incredible performances, with Michael feeling unleashed after such a lengthy, productive time in the studio.
Thankfully, a film crew was on hand to capture proceedings. The resulting short film 'Where The Heart Is' matches raw live footage to intimate, behind-the-scenes interviews.
Tune in below.
Blue Flowers will host their next show at The George IV in Chiswick on September 1st. Performing on the night will be Alyss, Sam Wills and Liv Dawson – ticket LINK.
