Tim Burgess has shared the blurred, psychedelic visuals for 'Clutching Insignificance'.
The singer once tweeted to his followers: “Who would you have in your supergroup? Excluding Charlatans, mine would be: Vocals: Me & Ladyhawke Guitar: Josh Heyward (The Horrors) Keys: Martin Duffy (Primal Scream) Bass: Debbie Googe (My Bloody Valentine) Drums: Steffan Halperin (The Chavs/Klaxons)…”
Except this wasn't some idle daydream; Tim had actually assembled this group, writing, recording, and mixing a full studio album in the gap between Christmas and New Year.
Out now, 'As I Was Now' is a fresh-sounding piece of psych-pop with some acerbic, experimental edges, such as a keyboard-soaked 'Clutching Insignificance'.
Chris Walker and Darren Groucutt direct the visuals, with the palette drawn towards that distorted red as the camera looms in on Tim's face.
Tune in now.
