Except this wasn't some idle daydream; Tim had actually assembled this group, writing, recording, and mixing a full studio album in the gap between Christmas and New Year.
Out now, 'As I Was Now' is a fresh-sounding piece of psych-pop with some acerbic, experimental edges, such as a keyboard-soaked 'Clutching Insignificance'.
Chris Walker and Darren Groucutt direct the visuals, with the palette drawn towards that distorted red as the camera looms in on Tim's face.
