Modern life is nomadic, transient… tough.
The effects of the recession can still be felt, with young people travelling to different countries, continents in search of opportunities.
Thunderbird Gerard is amongst them. Born in New York, the rapper emigrated to London before finding a new home in Berlin. A natural showman, the rapper's lyrics are matched by an inquisitive production sense which refuses to countenance that same old played out boom-bap sound.
With debut EP 'T.R.O.U.B.L.E.' set to emerge shortly, Thunderbird Gerard is ready for the world to know his tale. Out on May 6th, ClashMusic have been able to grab a special preview.
Recently performing in Berlin, Thunderbird Gerard took along a camera crew to capture his nascent live show. Taken from the set, 'London Is A Bitch' is a frank, open autobiographical track which records crushed hopes, the urge to escape and the will to party.
