Glasgow indie legends The Pastels are set to return shortly with their new single ‘Vivid Youth’ and you can watch the video now!
Glasgow has a decent claim to be the birthplace of indie. Postcard Records hailed from the city, spawning influential releases by the likes of Orange Juice, Josef K, The Go Betweens and many more.
The Pastels grew up enthralled by the Postcard legacy, but were determined not to follow in its footsteps. Led by Stephen McRobbie the band are living legends, now expanding to contain Teenage Fanclub songwriter Gerard Love.
Teaming up with J-Pop troupe The Tenniscoats on their new album, latest single ‘Vivid Youth’ was penned by Love. A glorious salute to summer, it hints at the band’s illustrious back catalogue while pointing to a vastly creative future.
