For all their fame and success, The Kooks’ songwriting remains remarkably simple.
Eschewing the orchestras ‘n’ choirs ‘n’ kitchen sinks formula of their peers, the band are at home with an acoustic guitar and a good cup of tea. Recently playing an intimate show in London as part of the Off Guard gigs series, ClashMusic decided to catch up with the band before stage time.
Chatting with The Kooks, the quartet volunteered to whip out their acoustic guitars. Strumming through a few tracks from their recent album, the band were on typically relaxed form.
