Gothenburg producer The Keep released his wonderful new EP 'Andra' just a few weeks ago, the follow up to his evocative debut project 'Primer'.
Out now on Houndstooth, 'Andra' fused a predilection towards drones with caustic noise and gently driving rhythms, a reflection of his surroundings on the outskirts of the Swedish city.
The full EP is out now, something the electronic artist describes as focussing on "a journey and new beginnings. This narrative runs throughout the EP and but each track has it's own path. A lot of the music is a reflection of my surroundings of the lakes and woodland on the outskirts of Gothenburg."
EP highlight 'Through Portals' has become a real centrepiece, with The Keep sourcing isolation snapshots from friends to construct a lockdown video.
Speaking about the video, The Keep said "I made this video during UK lockdown after a bunch of my dear friends sent me snapshots of their life in isolation."
Visually engaging and oddly moving, 'Through Portals' has a subtle warmth that continues after the video ends.
Tune in now.
